Books & Tea

Hello!
I know I haven't posted a blog in a very long time that is because 1. One book I was reading was addictive , I couldn't get into it, so it took me a while to finish it.
After finishing it I started reading a book which my Aunty recommended to me it is called - the bronze horseman by paullina Simons, and it is absolutely incredible, I could not put it down and was up until early hours of the morning reading and drinking tea. I felt attached to the book and have completely fallen in love with the characters. I also found out that there are two more books going on from this one and I am really keen to get them. I would defiantly recommend this book to anyone, it is quite a long book but it only took me 7 days (one full week) to finish it, that is because I couldn't put it down and got so excited to read it, at a few points during the book I was balling my eyes out crying, crying so much that I couldn't actually see haha! The book makes you smile, laugh, fall in love, believe and upset, you do get very emotional but it is so worth it! I could read this book again and again and again.

It is an international best seller and it is the most amazing book I have ever read in my whole entire life.
The book cover is below -

PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE make sure you read it at least once in your lifetime , it is honestly the best book in the world.

Once I finished this book I started a book called - The spectacular now, which is pretty spectacular.
It is actually a movie and I plan to download and watch it. The book was really good and the cover looks like this -

I would recommend this book also as it's really good, I finished it in 3 days as it was so good and it made me laugh and compare it to how my generation (youth) are living and how they way they think about their future.

It's worth reading :)

PS. TEA is in the title BECAUSE I love drinking it while reading books :)

Thanks for reading if you did or do, I'm really sorry that it took a while. Xo

Winter time ❄️☔️☁️

As you all know winter is here (in Australia that is) - one of my favourite times of the year to read & read forever.
The coldness, the rain, the overcast days where you can drink as much tea as you want and have more of an excuses to rug up and stay in bed longer.

I haven't filled up my bookshelf yet but I sure am on my way to doing so, I love books, reading brings me happiness! Reading for me is forgetting the world and feeling like your in a differnet place, sometimes even feeling like your a character in a book - maybe a book your reading relates to you or maybe it doesn't but either way you feel free at one stage.
Free from the troubles in life, free from all the bitchy people in this world and most of all your imagination is free.

Recently I finished a book called - Will Grayson, Will Grayson, it was an interesting book that's for sure but I couldn't seem to put it down.
It is written by my favourite John Green and David Levithan :)

I know sometimes you get inpatient waiting for books to arrive if you have bought them online but I'm sooooo grateful I did, because the other day I was at Big W and saw some of the books that I have at home from online there and the quality and size of the books, including the price is in incredible!!!

although last weekend it was a long weekend and I really wanted a book to read :) so I bought one from Big W, it seems to be in good condition.
I only did this because I buy my books once my pay has gone in on pay days and well my basket on The Book Despoitory is becoming a high price, what can I say I love reading though.

I am reading chestnut Street by Maeve Binchy and it is so far so good, what interested me more is at the front of this particular books it says -

the places Maeve created in her novels and stories - knockglen Castlebah, Mountfern and so many others - became just as real for her readers as those on the real of Ireland. In fact the Irish tourist board often had to explain to visitors that they couldn't actually get on a bus or train to go and see them. Chestnut street is too fictional, but the Dublin portrayed there is very real, a city changing over the years in ways that come vividly to life in these stories of it's residents and their families.
Maeve wrote the stories over several decades, reflecting the city and people of the moment - always with the idea of one day making them into a collection with Chestnut street as it's centre.

I am blown away by what was written and it makes me sooo much more determined to get through this book and experience the great things other readers did.
Also the books looks like this --------

And yes I am reading today as to me it is the most incredible weather outside - overcast, cold and rainy 😍

Hope you liked my blog today and comment if you would like to ask any questions :)

Thank you lovely people xo

Favourite books - recently

I know I haven't written in a longggg time and I'm super sorry for that, I've been busy....reading and working.

I've been buying a lot more books lately and I have come to the realisation that ALL of John Green books are incredible, every single one of them, even the books which he writes with other authors.

I have found lately that some of my books have 2 or 3 authors in the same book, one book had three winter love romances in one book written by each author, story written by another finished, I thought this new concept was amazing and I quite enjoyed it!
That book was called 'let it snow' it was really good and I recommend it.

Another favourite of mine was paper towns by John Green, this is honestly one of the greatest books I have ever read in my life, I loved it! I also loved

Dash & Lily's book of dares - I know it may sounds strange BUT it is the best idea for a book ever!!! Below is what is says on the back of the book:

I've left some clues for you. If you want, turn the page. If you don't, put the book back on the shelf, please.

At the urge of her lucky in love brother, sixteen year old Lily has left a red notebook full of dates on her favourite bookshop shelf, waiting for just the right guy to come along and accept.
Curious, snarky Dash isn't one to back down from a challenge - and the. Book of Dares is the perfect thing to keep him occupied this Christmas.
As they send each other a snowbound scavenger hunt across manhattan, they're falling for each other on paper. But finding out if their real selves share their on page chemistry could be there biggest dare yet.

It is written by Rachel Cohn and David Levithan and it looks like this --------

It was honestly my favourite book and I mean...who wouldn't want to be involved in a scavenger hunt around Manhattan, it is something dream -
able!

One day I want a libaray in my own home like some of the oes below - (enjoy)!

And my favourite of all, I am completely in love with it!!!

😍😍😍😍 it's so beautiful isn't it!

Anyways I hope you enjoyed my blog post today and hope to see you soon, love you all xo

Book case - shelf 📚

So, today I finished my book case and I could not be any more happier! It looks so good & only cost me $30 dollars to make!!
It isn't hard to make a book case, you just have to have the correct tools and know what you want to make, with an idea in mind it only took me two weeks to find the items I needed & it all worked out perfectly :)

The planks of pine wood cost only $3 at Masters, I got 4 which was $12, next I bought the side railings, at Masters they have a large variety of different railings and long pieces of thin wood, the one I got was pine & I got 2 of them which cost $12 as they we're around $6 each!!
I aleasdy had paint lying around the garage which was useful.
My dad had all the tools I needed which was a saw, a drill & we bought a pack of 20 screws from Mastes for $3.40 each but because we were doing two screws on each side per shelf, we bought two packets which equals to $6.80, all together this project cost me around $30 dollars but the great thing about it is you can make it your own :)

Below is the outcome -
It will eventually have a canvas hanging just above it with a map of the world on it which I drew, I am in the process of finishing that but will keep you all updated.

Hope you like my project and I really hope this gives you courage to make your own ones day 😘 xo

DIY - 1

As I mentioned in one of my other blog posts I would be building a book case, this weekend is a long one which is great and gives me more time to do my project.

Firstly I bought 4 pieces of pine wood from my local masters store they cost $3 each, they will be used as shelves.

Then find an area and set up,  choose my garage as it didn't matter if it got dirty or not. This is how I set myself up -

I then started sanding each corner and side so that it finished with a smooth edge, which is did and felt amazing!

I then started painting, only one base today on one side as it has to dry without touching any other surface, so I painted and once I finished I leant them againest a wall on an old towel to dry for a couple of goes .

I left them to dry and will work on the sides tomorrow, I am not going to give it another coat as I really like how the underneath wood pattern is showing through, just how I hoped it would.

There will be more coming as there is loads more to do :) I'll keep you updated! Xo

Great finds

Great finds..
On the weekend I did a lot of driving around with my dad getting things organised for a family friends birthday to having people over for dinner to getting the essentials like food for the house.
Also our kettle is dying 😔 and our family loves tea so much so this is a problem but we are getting a new one soon, while looking at kettles at big w I walked past a stand with my dad.

There were literally books for $3.40!! I REPEAT $3.40!! HOW CRAZY!!
I looked through every book that was there and found two I was interested in, one is -
> playing the game by Barbara Taylor Bradford and
The second book I bought is called
> secrets of a summer night (the wallflowers) this book is by Lisa kleypas

The first one is a best selling it hot of a woman of substance and the second one is a NEW YORK TIMES BESTSELLER!!

I am so very happy with what I found and I started playing the game and I absolutely love it, below is a picture of it :) -

And below is my second book -

The covers of these books are beautiful and the thing that attracts me the most to books is the smell they have when they are new, like there crisp and free, like there waiting for someone to read them..ah!!

Reading is magical.

Thanks for reading my blog!
Write to you all soon xo

Where's your favourite spot to read?

When reading we all have our MOST favourite spot to read!! A place where we feel comfortable, relaxed and like we are away from reality. Below I will show you a photo of where my favourite place is to read, I get a lot of reading done in this place and I feel like I'm in paradise, it's really is great!!

It's called my bed! But with my beautiful fairy lights on, i find it's the most peaceful way to read.

Not only is it comfortable but super relaxing!
Now that I have finished someday, someday, maybe by the beautiful Lauren Graham, I am on the search for another amazing book.

Someday, someday, MAYBE

Recently I have been reading Someday, someday, maybe: it's a book written by Lauren Graham, for all you people who don't know who that is she is an actress best known for her roles in Gilmore girls and parenthood. Her book is a New York Times best seller, it is one of the best books I have ever read, I can't put it down.

It's about a girl who has six months left of the three year deadline, she set herself when she came to New York, dreaming of Broadway and doing 'important' work. But all she has to show for her efforts is a part in an ad for ugly Christmas sweaters. She needs a backup plan because she's not ready to give up on her goal of having a career like her idols Diane Keaton and Merryl Streep. Not just yet.

This book is a story about hopes and dreams, being young in a city and wanting something deeply, madly, desperately. It's about finding love, finding yourself and perhaps most difficult of all in New York, finding an acting job.

All you dreamers out there who want to travel and see the amazing world around us, this book is for you!
When reading it you feel like your in New York, in an amazing city.

World away from the world

Isn't it funny how you feel like your in a totally different world when reading, you feel like the character in the book, like your doing what their doing but...then you go back to reality. I find sometimes it's nice to leave the real world and get lost in the world of reading.
